Soup Suppers began at 6:00 pm on February 25. A committee will be assigned to each Wednesday to setup, clean up, etc, etc. If you are on a committee, be ready to serve your congregation. At about 6:30 pm, we have evening prayer.
Afterwards, Pastor Welton is teaching on “How We Got the Bible.” This is a great series of lessons on history of the Bible.
Soup Suppers will be on February 25, March 4, 11, 18, and 25. Holy week begins on March 29 and Easter falls on April 5.
Renew
Peace Lutheran is holding an interest meeting for the RENEW process. We need congregation leaders and members invested in the congregation and its future. This meeting will be on March 2 at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. This meeting will be an informational and organizational.
Renew is about being more intentional with making disciples. This is the process that the council and pastor have been discussing for the last few weeks. What is Renew? “Renew is a process that walks us through a one-day retreat and builds on what God does in your time together.” The goal of Renew is to renew and refresh how we see the way forward to what God is calling us to be during this season of our lives together. A large part of this is developing a ministry plan that we can put into practice.
Everything we do should fit in our ministry plan —what we’re currently doing, or what we sense God leading us in — will fit into one of four categories: Invite, Retain, Disciple, and Send.
